Peiyao (Sabrina) Chen is a film and game composer and recording engineer based in San Francisco. With more than 17 years of classical piano training, her work combines a strong musical foundation with a passion for storytelling and visual media.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a focus on Music Technology & Media, from the University of Colorado Boulder and is currently pursuing a Master of Music Technology and Applied Composition at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Her background in both composition and audio production allows her to approach music from the first creative idea to the final recorded sound.

As a composer, Sabrina has created original music for short films, animation, and game projects, collaborating with filmmakers and artists across the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Australia. As a recording engineer, she has engineered more than 65 studio sessions and live performances for orchestras, chamber ensembles, choirs, opera productions, and solo musicians, including productions involving the GRAMMY Award-winning vocal ensemble Chanticleer.

Whether composing for picture or working behind the console, Sabrina is driven by one question: how can sound help a story feel more alive? She approaches each project with curiosity, collaboration, and a close attention to the emotional world of the story.
